Southern Crescent Technical College provides testing services for the General Educational Development (GED ®) Test at two GED Testing Centers located in Griffin and Thomaston. The GED Test is a group of four subject tests that certifies the successful test-taker has high school level academic skills. The credential is recognized by most educational and business organizations as the equivalent of a high school diploma.
In order to prepare individuals to pass the GED, the Adult Education Program has classes that are specifically designed for adults who have different needs, backgrounds, and skills. A flexible program has been designed which meets the needs of any individual wishing to participate. Programs are located at our two main campuses in Griffin and Thomaston, as well as Butts, Fayette, Henry, Jasper, Lamar, Pike, and Taylor counties.
